Outstanding Nursery Provision
At Noah's Ark, we support the development and education of children in a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment.
We are delighted to have partnered with The Lea Nursery to offer high quality, affordable childcare from 7.30am to 6pm every weekday during term time.
The Nursery has plenty on offer to keep active children with inquisitive minds busy during their sessions! Based at The Lea Primary School site on Moorland Road, Harpenden, we have access to a wide range of fantastic facilities including a spacious nursery classroom, library, hall, kitchen, outdoor classroom, pond and wildlife area, mud kitchen, water play area and a newly refurbished playground with grass area and climbing equipment.
A Place to Learn and Grow
At Noah's Ark at The Lea we offer;
- A fun and stimulating environment where your child can learn to play co-operatively, and grow their independence and confidence.
- Individual care and attention made possible through a high ratio of adults to children.
- A tailored curriculum linked to the Early Years Foundation stage, focussing on areas such as phonics, maths, ICT, and fine motor control.
- A focus on physical, social and language skills development.
An Experienced Team
Our staff have many years of experience in nursery teaching and hold the relevant childcare qualifications including NVQ diplomas, CACHE and NVB Nursery Nursing. We also have a speech and language teacher, trained in Makaton techniques that use speech combined with signs and symbols to enhance communication skills.
All of our staff are parents themselves, many of whom have had children at Noah's Ark over the years. All staff are DBS checked and First Aid trained.
Wraparound Care
Working in close partnership with The Lea Nursery, we are able to provide wraparound care from 7.30am to 6pm every weekday during term time.
The Lea Nursery provides the morning sessions, and Noah's Ark Nursery provides the afternoon sessions, as well as breakfast club, lunch time cover and after school club. This perfect partnership allows a seamless, full day of wraparound care, ideal for working parents.
